VERY RARE 1000 LB Sterling 25000 Francs Confederate Foreign Investment Bond
Cotton Bond issued in Europe by J Henry Schroder & Emilie Erlanger and Co.  These "cotton" bonds were exchangeable at a rate of six pence sterling per pound of New Orleans cotton with the catch being that the bond was to be cashed in after peace was made.  Bond is signed by John Slidell, Confederate agent in England, whose seizure with James Mason resulted in the famed Trent Affair during the Civil War.  Bond is in exceptional condition and nicely framed.

Planters Bank of Fairfield 10 $ Note
Nice Southern note with scenes of plantation economy and technology (train) at the time.  Date appears to be Dec 1, 1843.   No tears or holes that I can determine. Overall note ink is nice as well, but signature are somewhat faded due to old water stain.  Comes w/ protective case.
